I felt so honored to photograph Brenda. Mark and I photographed Brenda’s and Nick’s wedding 3 years ago. Let me say there wedding was such a blast. Brenda was diagnosed with Ovarian and Uterine Cancer in Aug. 2011. In her email she said “I want to capture this time in my life. I want to wait until my hair falls out though. Make the pictures look more authentic! Ha!” Such a sweetie. Hair or no hair you are beautiful Brenda. I wanted to capture the love they have for each other and to embrace this moment in their lives. Mark and I will be thinking of you both to your road to recovery.

Help support a worthy community event – the Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race

Your Support in the Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race benefits numerous children in the Eastern Iowa area. Up to 92% of these kids apply for free or reduced school lunches. Approximately 50-70% of these children come from single parent families. In one benefitting organization, 70% of their members come from homes with less that $25,000 annual income, of that 39% is less than $7000. Your contribution also goes to support educational enrichment activities. Many of these students would not be able to enhance their learning and understanding of subject matter being discussed within the classroom setting. Other needs that can be met include prizes and awards to recognize outstanding student behavior, and basic needs such as clothes, household items, transportation, and food.

By purchasing one or more ducks in the Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race you can help these children. You also have a chance to one one of may cool prizes including a chance at $1,000,000. For each duck purchased the Five Seasons Waterski Team receives $1.

The Five Seasons Ski Team performs a free show every Thrusday night at Ellis Park in Cedar Rapids, IA June thru Labor Day. Special shows are performed for various communities and festivals. The team also competes in state, regional, and national show ski tournaments. We strive to provide quality family entertainment for the Cedar Rapids area. We also provide a wholsome, fun, activity for area youth and families.
